What carbohydrates to eat before workout

What can i eat that is really high in carbs and how long do i need to eat it befor a workout???????

1 cup of oats has like 55 gr of complex carbs and best thing is the carbs in oats are slow burning so is good about 2 hours before a workout.

any old box of generic oats will do. You know cook that actually 1/2 cup of oats not 1 cup (sorry) in milk and add cinnamon and sugar or sweet n low. microwave for 1 min and 30 sec.

If you throw a little applesause, or raisins, or banana (simple carbs) on top of the oats, it will kickstart the process. Mixing something high on the glycemic index with something low on the index, is a very good pre w/o meal. I keep mine small (250 calories) so I can eat it as early as 45-50 min. before my leg or back workouts. Have fun experimenting.
